The Hand of God Church of All Nations which is headed by Bishop Victor Evans Hounkpati, as part of its vision and mission to provide for and support the less privileged in society, has donated foodstuffs, toiletries, clothing, money among others to support the needy and some widows in the Ketu North Municipality of the Volta Region.
The donation was done by the Bishop and in collaboration with HOGCOAN INTERNATIONAL MEMBERS, Dzodze. The items include bags of corn, clothes, money, toiletries among others.
Presenting the items to the people, Bishop Hounkpati expressed how good it feels when you reach out to the needy in society and that is one of the foremost aims of his church.
He said, “we do donate to the needy in society every two to three months and today happens to be International Women Day, so our focus today is mainly on widows and women are deprived, everything we give out comes from the church and myself because of the love I have for mankind.”
“this are the things Christ is expecting of us as Christians. We have also given scholarships to some brilliant but needy students and as we speak now, a handful of those we helped have completed their tertiary institutions and are working as teachers, nurses, and other white-collar jobs. And we intend to do more as God keeps blessing us.”
He continued that “all I have for the women and widows who are present here and the world at large is that many at times people blame their misfortunes on death and earthly things but I want to assure them that with Jesus Christ in the boat everything is possible, and so they should expect more ”.
