Eliminations and Qualifiers from 3-4 August in ongoing Duamenefa Regional Tournament

DUAMENEFA REGIONAL TOURNAMENT; VUME SUPRISED OTHERS BY QUALIFYING TO THE KNOCKOUT STAGE

Bayorn a football club based in Vume in Ketu North Municipality, came on strong beating Ewu Avedogo Silence football club by two goals to nil to gain Duamenefa Regional Tournament knockout stage slot. They were victorious over Atsikpey Simple stars by a lone goal and drew zero- zero against Nebis football club of Eleme Sovie at the end of the three matches played at Afife on Saturday.

Vume Bayorn FC is now leading the table of Zone G, group B with seven points and three goals in their custody after wonderful football was displayed. This football club has the momentum to qualify from the round of 64 to the round of 32 of the ongoing Duamenefa Regional Tournament.

EWU AVEGODO ADVANCED TO THE KNOCKOUT STAGE OF THE ONGOING DUAMENEFA REGIONAL TOURNAMENT

The fans from Ewu Avegodo in the Ketu North Municipality were perhaps happier than the rest of the communities that gathered at Afife as they witnessed the ongoing Duamenefa Regional Tournament, because after playing three matches, Ewu Avegodo FC has taken the second position on the table of the Duamenefa Regional Tournament and are hoping to move beyond the knockout stage of this Tournament.

Ewu Avegodo was able to beat Eleme Sovie Nebis by a lone goal, drew one match with Simple Stars of Atsikpey and also loss one against Vume Bayorn FC. Their ultimate aim is to lift this year’s trophy of the Duamenefa Regional Tournament.

ATSIKPEY ELIMINATED AT THE GROUP STAGE OF THE DUAMENEFA REGIONAL TOURNAMENT

The citizens of Atsikpey were very surprised after their team couldn’t qualify from the group stage to the knockout stage of the ongoing Duamenefa Regional Tournament.

The Simple Stars of Atsikpey were beaten at Afife Zone in group C by one goal to nil by Vume Bayorn football club and drew two matches against the Eleme Sovie Nebis and Ewu Avegodo football clubs.

After three matches played with a lot of chances created, the Simple Stars were able to accumulate two points with a lone goal conceded and are now at the bottom of the log table.

Atsikpey Simple Stars will now do their homework in preparation towards the 2020 edition of the Duamenefa Regional Tournament.

 

75 BULLET FC QUALIFIED AT LONG LAST; DUAMENEFA REGIONAL TOURNAMENT

First time in the history of the Duamenefa Regional Tournament, Avalavi 75 Bullet has been able to proceed to the knockout stage of the Duamenefa Regional Tournament. Avalavi 75 Bullet FC took part in the 2017 and 2018 edition, but could not succeed to any stage of the Duamenefa Regional Tournament. This time around, however, Avalavi 75 Bullet FC promised the people of Avalavi and their fans to keep their hopes in them and they would make it happen.

Avalavi 75 Bullet FC scored a lone goal against their rival town, Avalaviga Success FC at their first match played, then went on to beat Afife Hawks FC by two goals to nil and used the chances created to draw their last group match against Kporkuve Surviving FC. Even though Avalavi 75 Bullets FC tried every possible means to destroy Kporkuve Surviving FC, they could only stand their ground and draw the match.

The Bullet FC is now leading Zone G, group C log table by seven points with three goals on goal difference.

75 Bullet FC is now preparing as a qualified team to lock horns with other qualifiers in the ongoing Duamenefa Regional Tournament.

AFIFE HAWKS QUALIFIED WITH FOUR POINTS TO THE KNOCKOUT STAGE; DUAMENEFA REGIONAL TOURNAMENT

The sports loving fans of Afife took a moment to jubilate after Afife Hawks maintained the momentum to grab four points out of nine during their three matches played.

Even though Afife Hawks football club drew their first match against Kporkuve Surviving FC with one goal each, they used tactical knowledge to discipline Avalaviga Success FC by scoring them a lone goal at the end of fifty minutes played.

The Hawks football club is now holding the second position on the log table of Zone G, group C after Avalavi 75 Bullet football club beat them massively by two goals to nil.

Afife Hawks football club now has set their sights on the round of 64 knockout stage in the ongoing Duamenefa Regional Tournament.

Avalaviga Success FC will now wait for the third best place team qualification to know their way forward after all the group stage matches comes to an end on Sunday 25th August, 2019.
